The history and tradition at Morehouse College is rich; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., was a student at Morehouse, a historically black, all male college. Morehouse is just one of a consortium of historically black colleges in the Atlanta University Center (AUC). The AUC incorporates nearly 9,000 students, studying at Morehouse College (all male), Spelman College (all female), Clark Atlanta University, and the Morehouse School of Medicine. And now The Navigators is joining its history to the AUC with a new Collegiate Navs ministry.
The newly formed Navigator team at the AUC is led by BJ and Vanja Thompson and Kareem and Ashely Manuel. They will also be joined by another couple in 2016.
BJ Thompson shares his vision for ministry at the AUC: “We want to equip young adults as diverse disciples of Christ and disciple makers for Christ in every stream of the society.”
