A tiny red hand print on a poster caught Becky’s (name changed) attention as she walked into her church in Denver. When she looked closer, she noticed this plea:

PRAYER REQUEST a coat & a dog
Becky’s church supports Community Hope School in Namibia, where Lorenzo is a student. Becky drove home after church and kept thinking about this handprint and Namibia. Becky had been to Namibia on a mission trip with her friends Ed and Ruth, who lead NavMissions summer teams to Namibia. Becky emailed Ruth and asked if she would buy Lorenzo a coat and take it to him at the school.
Ruth and a friend went to the mall, purchased two coats and a few shirts, and headed to their destination on a dirt road: Community Hope School.
They asked to meet a little boy named Lorenzo. When he came out into the hallway, Ruth asked, “Do you remember when you drew around your hand and shared a prayer request?”
Lorenzo shyly nodded yes.
“Well, Lorenzo, Jesus has answered your prayer!” She pulled a new coat out of the bag and he put it on. A huge smile filled his face. Ruth and her friend left the other clothes for Lorenzo’s classmates.
The answer to Lorenzo’s prayer came through someone who listened to God’s prompting. We don’t know if God answered his prayer for a dog, but Lorenzo does have a coat!
