30 Prayers of Praise to God

Prayers of praise to God are deeply connected to what we learn to be true about God, and it’s good to remind ourselves of the reasons why we praise God (and then, praise Him!).

Focus your next 30 days on offering prayers of praise to God. Consider beginning or ending your day with the habit of praising God and praying these verses out loud.

Invite a friend or your family to join you. Notice how praising God changes you and your perspective—it may even reduce stress. Then, continue to foster a life of worship. Create a praise journal—adding specific praise verses and prayers that are personal to your own life.

Day 1 

God, I praise you for being my strength, defense, and salvation.

“The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him” Exodus 15:2 (NIV).

Day 2

God, I praise your greatness.

“I will proclaim the name of the LORD. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!” Deuteronomy 32:3 (NIV).

Day 3

God, I praise you for being my Rock and Savior. 

“The LORD lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Savior!” 2 Samuel 22:47 (NIV). 

Day 4

God, I praise you for all your wonderful acts.

“Sing to him, sing praise to him; tell of all his wonderful acts” 1 Chronicles 16:9 (NIV).

God, I praise you for your goodness.

“I will sing the LORD’s praise, for he has been good to me” Psalm 13:6 (NIV).

Day 6

God, I praise you for your counsel and instruction.

God, I praise you for all the world to see.

God, I praise you for your might. 

“Be exalted in your strength, LORD; we will sing and praise your might” Psalm 21:13 (NIV).

Day 9

God, I praise you for being my shield, help, and joy. 

“The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” Psalm 28:7 (NIV). 

Day 10

God, I praise you for giving me the words to praise you.

Day 11

God, I praise you for being King of all the earth.

God, I praise you for receiving my prayer and generously giving your love.

God, I praise you for you are my Creator and have cared for me since conception.

Day 16

God, I praise you for your unconditional love and holy justice.

Day 17

God, I praise you for being a God who is worthy to be worshiped.

Day 18

God, I praise you for teaching me your righteous ways.

God, I praise you for training me to fight spiritual battles.

God, I praise you for being the Creator God.

God, I praise you for being a God who rescues the needy.

God, I praise you for your wisdom and power.

Day 23

God, I praise you for revealing yourself to your children.

God, I praise you for redeeming your people.

God, I praise you for the righteousness you impart through Christ.

Day 28

God, I praise you for your great mercy and for providing a living hope through Jesus.

Day 29

God, I praise you that I get to bear Christ’s name.

Day 30

God, I praise you for Jesus, the worthy Lamb.
