Investing Into the Next Generation

“EDGE allowed me to experience what ‘following Jesus’ meant. I learned to step out of my comfort zone (even my cultural comfort zone) in order to obey Jesus. Today, I still use the tools I learned when I was on EDGE,” shared Ken Chi, EDGE Corps 1st Class (1996).

In 1995, EDGE Corps started with 10 interns passionate about investing into college students. Twenty years later this 1-2 year internship has grown. An average of 100 new EDGErs come on staff each year to share the Gospel and disciple college students.

EDGErs have a unique advantage since they are close in age to the college students they are reaching and discipling. Underclassmen open up to the EDGEr leading their Bible study. This has increased the capacity of the Navs Collegiate ministry and is greatly impacting college students for Jesus.

Sherry Graf, EDGE Corps 1997, reflects, “When I came on staff with Navs I wasn’t even sure how I felt about evangelism and was terrified at the idea of doing it! But God equipped me through EDGE and allowed me to ‘sit in’ while His Spirit moved in many hearts to receive Him. I was hooked and have since grown to love sharing the Gospel with and investing in others!”

EDGE Corps develops life-long disciples. Whether EDGE alumni transition into Nav staff or move into their callings in careers and neighborhoods around the world, they continue to live out the purpose “To Know Christ and to Make Him Known.®
