A New Rest of My Life
I met The Navigators in 1979 when Mark Bogart showed up at my campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, and opened up the Bible to help me grasp what being a disciple of Jesus was all about. Mark wasn’t on Navigator staff; he was a school teacher committed to making disciples wherever he was and whatever else he was doing.
He taught me how to read and study the Bible, how to share the Gospel, and how to help others grow. I’d never heard of being a “lifelong laborer,” but it was clear that this is what I would do for the rest of my life.
