Glen Eyrie Continues Its 73rd Year as a Premier Destination in Beautiful Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., (July 15, 2026) — The Navigators, a worldwide disciplemaking ministry since 1933, opened the gates of its Glen Eyrie Castle and Colorado Conference Center for a 73rd consecutive season. While the castle itself holds 67 rooms, 17 of them available for overnight guests, Glen Eyrie offers 95 guest accommodations across seven buildings on its 723-acre campus. Built by General William Jackson Palmer in the 1870s and tucked into the red-rock canyons north of Garden of the Gods, the castle offers guests a chance to experience its grounds, its history, and a small taste of the Life-to-Life® discipleship that happens here year-round.

Glen Eyrie offers daily castle tours, the celebrated Tea at the Castle (a Colorado Springs tradition since the late 1990s) and a robust calendar of retreats, conferences, and other events and family camps.

Glen Eyrie became home to The Navigators in 1953, following an ambitious and now faith building campaign to raise the $110,000 down payment in just six weeks. Today, The Navigators still maintain the property as their headquarters as they live out their mission, “To know Christ, make Him known, and help others do the same®.”

Glen Eyrie’s 2026 calendar reflects its mission to help guests grow personally, relationally, and spiritually. Summer and fall offerings include:

Reservations for a tour, afternoon tea, an overnight stay, or an event are required for access to the castle and hiking trails. Castle tours are offered Monday through Saturday at noon and 2:00 p.m., and Sundays at 2:00 p.m. Afternoon tea is served Tuesday through Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Glen Eyrie is also in the midst of a multi-year upgrade to the castle aimed at improving the guest experience for years to come. Its mission remains simple: “to create excellent guest experiences through God-honoring hospitality so that Christ is known.” Supporters may contribute to the renovation project either through donations or volunteer service. Additional details are available via the Friends of the Glen giving page and Glen Eyrie’s volunteer opportunities page.

“Every summer, families come up the canyon expecting a tour and end up encountering something they didn’t plan for: stillness, beauty, and a story bigger than themselves. That’s Glen Eyrie at its best.”

— Dace Starkweather, General Manager, Glen Eyrie Conference Center
