Jesus’ last week on earth before His crucifixion is called the Passion Week. Passio is a Latin rendering of the Greek word pathos meaning suffering, deep emotion, and longing. Sunday:

Jesus wept as He longed for His people to experience true peace and escape the consequences of Jerusalem’s future destruction.
