Revelation 19 … This is the end of the Tribulation. This is the Coming of the Lord and it’s right here that Handel had in mind when he composed the Hallelujah Chorus. As you read Revelation 19, the music of Hallelujah ought to resound in your head. It’s the Second Coming of Christ to reign and it’s a glorious chapter. The scene breaks forth in heaven with worship predominating. The next prominent feature is called the “Marriage Supper of the Lamb,” and I am inadequate to describe the wonder of this. Dr. A.B. Simpson, founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, put it this way: “The Bible is one long love story showing redemption through a divine romance of the love of God.” This is the culmination of all that has preceded in all of Scripture. Believers are at the throne of Grace, clothed in the righteousness of Christ, ready to accompany Christ as He begins His millennial reign. On this white horse (v.11) comes the Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords. There is another note of completion here as well, and that’s the ultimate demise of those gathered in the end- times in opposition to God. Their defeat is certain and with them, the Antichrist and false prophet are forever destroyed. There will be no evil in the millennial Kingdom of Christ.
