Originally from Queens, New York, General Counsel and SVP of Governance, People & Culture, Wanda G. Anderson has lived in Colorado Springs since 1996. She received her Juris Doctor degree from Regent University School of Law in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and her Bachelor of Arts in mass media from Hampton University. She joined The Navigators in 2016 after an extensive career as corporate legal counsel, bringing more than 32 years of multi-jurisdictional nonprofit governance, risk management, and executive leadership experience to her role.
In addition to her role with The Navigators, Wanda serves on several nonprofit governing boards and served as co-pastor of Solid Rock Christian Center for 19 years with her husband, Rev. Benjamin Anderson. She is also a founding board member of Solid Rock Community Development Corporation, a nonprofit organization seeking to revitalize the underserved communities of southeast Colorado Springs through housing justice, food security, small business support, healthy community connections, and generational wealth building.
Wanda believes true transformation occurs when hearts and minds are open to the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Two of her favorite hobbies are spending time with family and writing poetry. She and Ben have been married since 1996 and have four daughters and ten grandchildren.
