About Alyssa Lawry

College is a pivotal time for people to discover who they are and what they are going to live for. They are searching for the life, joy, and purpose that can only be found in Jesus and His Gospel. When students are introduced to the power of the Gospel, they are transformed and the trajectory of their life transforms as well. In The Navigators, we desire to see students discover and live out of their identity as God’s children, known and loved by Him. As they live out their identity we hope they would see the worthiness of living for Jesus in every stage of life, not just in college.

Alyssa met The Navigators as a freshmen at the University of California, Davis in 2014 and went on full-time staff after graduating in 2018. On staff with The Navigators, she has had the opportunity to help college women live out of this identity and give them a vision to help others live out of it as well. Practically, Alyssa does this by leading a freshmen Bible study on campus and meeting weekly with women to read the Bible, pray together, and talk about how they can be impacting those around them. God has been working mightily in the lives of students at the University of Arizona, and it has been a privilege to be a part of it.

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”  Colossians 1:28, 29
