I grew up knowing the truth of Jesus Christ, but it wasn’t until I was struggling with my new-found independence my freshman year at Oklahoma State that I truly believed and experienced the Gospel for myself. I began to learn how to walk with the Lord daily by spending time in His Word and prayer. This drastically changed my life and how I interacted with my sorority sisters, classmates and friends. I have grown into being a passionate follower of Jesus Christ and have loved equipping girls in the OSU Navigator ministry and my sorority to discover this passion as well.
Because of this passion, I am humbled by the Lord’s guidance to move to San Antonio in August to devote the next year or two to helping college women learn how to walk with Christ. I have experienced so much hope in my life during my college years because of Christ, and I am excited to continue to get to share this with others!
In this next season of life, I’ll serve with EDGE Corps at the University of Texas – San Antonio. EDGE Corps is a program for recent college graduates who have chosen to minister one to two years on college campuses with a peer team, led by an experienced campus missionary staff. Our job is to interact with students regularly, build relationships, lead Bible studies, disciple believers, and tell students about the good news of Jesus Christ. As recent graduates, The Navigators feel we will have a unique hearing among students!
Jesus observed in Matthew 9:36-37 that “the harvest is great, but the workers are few.” This is absolutely talking about San Antonio and I want to be one of the “workers” and point as many students as I can to Jesus Christ!
