About Mary Heathcote

Mary and Sam are both natives of Maine and are now following God’s call to the University of Maine in Orono. Mary attended Bowdoin College and was introduced to The Navigators through her mentor, who met with her every week to read the Bible and live life together. After graduation, Mary joined EDGE Corps with The Navigators as an intern at UMass Amherst, where she served for a year and a half. Mary then spent seven months in Croatia serving with The Navigators, and spent one year in Amsterdam with The Navigators International Student Ministry there.

Sam met The Navigators while studying at the University of Maine and went on to join their student leadership team for several years. Since graduating, Sam has begun a career as a research engineer on campus.

Mary and Sam are currently serving part time with the Navs as the campus leaders at the University of Maine in Orono. Mary and Sam have a passion to see the gospel shared in a culturally appropriate way with this current postmodern generation that is especially prevalent in New England, and to see true community thrive at UMaine.
