Carlye and I met each other and The Navigators at California State University Long Beach. We are extremely grateful for our time with the Long Beach State Navigators and how God used it to help us grow in our walks with Him. At Long Beach, we learned the importance of spending time with God by reading the Bible and praying. We also learned how to take what we were taught and teach it to others – that they might come to know Jesus and grow in Him.
We graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2012. Carlye worked as a nurse for two years at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, and I worked full time for The Navigators at University of Southern California. During that time, I got to see God use me as I reached out to college students, led Bible studies, and spent countless hours meeting with students in a one-on-one setting, helping them grow in their faith. When Carlye and I were married in 2013, she had the opportunity to work with college students part-time at USC. It was a joy to experience doing ministry as a couple.
We are now serving long term with The Navigators at the University of California Davis. We’re praying that God will multiply our lives as we lead Bible studies on campus and meet with and disciple students. Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few” (Matthew 9:37). Carlye and I are praying that God would use us as laborers at UC Davis and that through us He would raise up other students who would also be laborers and would continue to advance the gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
