Acts 28:1-16 … Now we arrive at the great and final chapter of the book of Acts, which has chronicled the history of the beginning of Christianity and depicted how the disciples of Jesus Christ obeyed his command to go into all the world and spread the Gospel, baptizing and teaching and establishing churches in every location (Matthew 28:18-20). The record of the book of Acts is that it happened, and because it did, the Church of Jesus Christ is pervasive over the whole world. But it’s also an admonition to our own generation where we have seen the influence of the Gospel diminished by unfaithfulness on the part of many churches. That’s why choosing a church that honors the Word of God, teaches the Word of God and has a mission to reach the local community and indeed the world for Christ is an important personal and family decision.
