Celebrating Generosity

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
– 1 Chronicles 29:14 –

Celebrating generosity is all about you, our Navigator friends who give so generously. Your gifts have an amazing impact around the world. Through your investments, the Gospel advances on campuses; military bases; within communities, urban centers, churches, and families; and in more than 107 countries. Together we are helping to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission to “go and make disciples.”

My wife, Katie, and I cherish our grandchildren, and watching them grow has reminded us that generosity is a learned grace. Children are not sophisticated in masking their predisposition to selfishness. We smile when they say, mine, but also wonder how to cultivate sharing.

In my college years, Christ shifted my view of generosity. Understanding His heart to give moved me to set aside a portion of my meager paycheck. It wasn’t much but I was changing. Generosity is a journey of learning and growing, not an event.

We thank God and celebrate the generosity of each of our ministry partners. Thank you for seeking His will and dedicating a portion of your giving to invest in what He is doing through The Navigators. Thank you for “… excelling in this grace of giving” (2 Corinthians 8:7b).
