Thank you for your continued interest in The Navigators and for your support of this ministry as we seek to advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost.
Usually when you receive The Navigators One-to-One Ministry Review you find articles that give you a glimpse of some of the many ways God is using The Navigators to advance His Kingdom around the world. This issue, however, is a little different.
Any ministry—whether it’s one that reaches across continents or across the street—must be rooted in a deep relationship with Jesus. Our ministry—and yours—is no different. That’s why in this issue of One-to-One we’re focusing on ways to develop a deeper devotional life. It’s one of the key ways we as followers of Jesus develop and nurture our relationship with Him. Without it, there is no fruit—in our lives or in our reaching out to others.
We’ve asked a few of our Navigator friends to share some of their personal stories about their devotional lives—what maintaining a meaningful devotional life means to them, and how they approach it. We hope their thoughts will motivate you as you pursue a deeper, more meaningful walk with God.
The first of the year is a time of reflection and new beginnings. Our hope and prayer is that the thoughts you find here will be helpful in making a new start with God—one that will bless you and your outreach to those around you in the coming year.
We’ll be back next month with more stories about how God is using the ministry of The Navigators. But for now, we hope you enjoy stepping back and taking time to pursue a deeper relationship with your Heavenly Father. Jim Young The Navigators Chief Development Officer
