Navigators Mission Trip Scholarship Fund

The U.S. Navigators short-term missions ministry to more than 40 countries a year continues to grow! Four hundred participants are going out each year to labor with intensely strategic needs among many people unreached with the Gospel. But we need your help.

The problem is that most of these 400 are college students and have fallen farther and farther behind in their support-raising to go. Each year their fundraising gets increasingly harder, and some have had to back out because of rising expenses. Others have gone, but have had deficits that they are still struggling to pay back to cover their expenses. Deficits are reaching more than $10,000 a year.

As we have interviewed these team participants, there are three primary reasons for not reaching their budgets and therefore falling into deficit, as follows:

1. Many come from non-Christian backgrounds and do not have a solid donor base from which to solicit funds.
2. Established trip budgets are steadily rising, creating hard to reach targets for fundraising.
3. Global prices are fluctuating more rapidly, leading to surprise price hikes even while teams are on their trips.
