… I will also make you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring my salvation to the ends of the earth.  Isaiah 49:6

For the past 30+ years, Tom and Dana have served with The Navigators in various roles. After becoming involved as married students at Purdue University where Tom was studying veterinary medicine and Dana was teaching, Tom practiced equine medicine for three years before leaving that field to work with students, and move to the mission field in Indonesia.

Eleven years in Indonesia doing student ministry and pioneering a ministry with Indonesian Chinese business people ended when they lost their visa and returned to the U.S.

An invitation to join The Navigators U.S. Collegiate Ministry leadership team was followed by an opportunity to lead the team for the following six years, until 2003, when the role was transitioned to another.

Tom is currently helping to lead the leader development function for the US Navigators.  And for the past seven years he has traveled internationally, coaching and developing leaders for The Navigators student ministries of Western Europe. In addition, he serves the needs of other organizations in the area of  intentional leader development.

Dana will soon begin serving on the 20's Mission leadership team.  They both serve in a broad conference-speaking ministry inside and outside of The Navigators.

Dana has recently released her first book, A Woman's Guide To Discipling, published by NavPress.  Tom's new book, Growing Kingdom Character, will be released by NavPress in April 2011.
