The Navigators of Kenya Collegiate Ministry
Kenyatta University
It is written in the Acts of the Apostles, that God made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and exist! As I shepherd students at Kenyatta University, I am very aware of this truth. These students are here for a season ... a predetermined season. Their presence is an opportunity for them to enter into a relationship with God, or for them to grow.
Whether it is planting seeds, watering already planted seeds, or harvesting, my chief goal in ministry is motivated by Paul's projected hopes for the Colossian Church as expressed at 2:6-7. I strive to see my flock of students walk in Christ, firmly rooted and built up in Him, established in their faith, overflowing with gratitude.
It gives me such joy and fulfillment to see students grow in their faith, and to realize that I am growing with them. And so we encourage each other on the upward call, keeping our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith!
