Miami, Florida You did not choose Me but I chose you and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 15:16
I came to know The Navigators while in the military in Germany. I had just given my life to Christ early in 1964 after a rebellious period of running from God.
At a chapel service on the base, I met a Navigator missionary who had the right formula for me to grow. I committed and stepped up to the challenge of discipleship and have not looked back since.
I have been serving with The Navigators for 43 years, leading ministries on three military bases, as well as the campus ministries of the University of South Carolina, and the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras.
During the last twenty years, my wife, Edie, and I have helped pioneer The Navigators’ Hispanic ministries. Being on the cutting edge of reaching Hispanic peoples has been a most exciting opportunity for us. We have seen the ministry start with just three staff couples and grow to include two hundred laborers across ten key states with a high Hispanic population. We are excited about beginning more new ministries on campuses with a high Hispanic population.
My current ministry is Eastern Region Field Leader, which entails coaching and mentoring our younger staff and providing leadership for The Navigators’ Hispanic ministry, NavVida.
