You
did not choose Me but I chose you and appointed you that you would go
and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you
ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 15:16
While at Texas A&M, Cameron, a friend, challenged me
to participate in weekly Bible study. As our friendship continued,
Cameron taught me how to memorize scripture and tell others about
my faith in Jesus. Over the next couple of years, I became a Bible
study leader and began meeting with men younger than I to teach them
how to study the Bible, memorize scripture, and tell their friends
about their faith.
In August of my final semester at A&M, Cameron asked me if I would
consider joining EDGE Corps. Over the next couple of months, I prayed
about going on staff with EDGE Corps, and I believe God called me to
serve Him in this ministry. I will serve at Texas A&M in College
Station, Texas.
College is a time when most people try to establish their identity. It
is so important for believing college students to have a firm
foundation in their faith as they face assaults on their beliefs, both in
school and as they go out into the workplace. I look forward to
spending time with these students, sharing the truth of Christ with
them, and teaching them to establish their identity in Christ. I desire
also to share the truth of the Gospel with lost students.
I'm excited about the opportunity to work with young men on a daily
basis, walking with them through struggles and triumphs in their faith.
