Check It Out!
  1. We have seen another man in the community come to Christ in the past two months, and Ernie is in the process of discipling him. This is exciting because we have the door open to reaching his wife and children for Christ as well, and his extended family. There is potential for doors to open up all the time, as we reach people for Christ.

  2. One man who came to Christ in our adult community study continues to make contacts with unsaved people locally, at his work place. Some of this man's unsaved co-workers have asked to meet with him and Ernie when they get together for lunch at the man's job, to study the Bible and grow in Christ.

  3. Ernie was recently ordained by the Evangel Ministerial Association which ordains staff recommended to them by their ministry organizations. They have ordained staff of The Navigators, Campus Crusade for Christ, and Young Life, to name a few.

  4. Most recently, an awesome opportunity came up unexpectedly:  Ernie was asked by the town to give the Baseball/Softball Opening Day prayer (in front of this largely unsaved community) after the annual parade! None of the local clergy were available. Ernie was asked by a man he led to Christ in our adult Bible study. The man was asked by a member of the town council, as he volunteers heavily with the Recreation Committee, and they didn't know what they would do about this with such short notice. Praise God Ernie's prayer was well received  by the community!  Many came forward to say so afterward. God gave us a beautiful opening day in in the midst of some bad weather that week.
       
    Something like this can have major positive implications for our spiritual credibility in the community—already good, by God's grace. This has the potential to take it to another level. It legitimizes us and builds even more trust with so many unsaved, as well as those who are culturally non-evangelical. It could have major implications for parents, allowing even more children to come out to the public school Bible study club. What an honor to be asked to go before our Father in heaven in this way, and petition Him before the world! God is giving us so much favor here, and we praise Him!
