About Sam and Shirley
Sam
and his wife, Shirley, have been married for 30 years and live in
Vista, CA, with their son, Shad (25). The Hersheys also have two other
sons who are already in heaven. They have served on staff with The
Navigators for 34 years, 20 of which have been with the Church
Discipleship Ministry where Sam now serves as a member of the CDM
National Leadership Team.Sam is tasked with creating an international movement for Intentional Disciplemaking through the church (known as the IDC Process). Some of the major functions within this responsibility are training of overseas CDM staff in strategic locations, developing our national website, and connecting with other organizations and training churches.
Sam and Shirley's passion is in helping church leaders model the values of the Great Commandment and the Great Commission individually and corporately through the church in such a way that spiritual multiplication occurs, impacting individuals and communities with the Gospel of Christ.
Sam's ministry with The Navigators, coupled with pastoral staff experience in large, medium, and small churches, has equipped him to effectively coach and train church leaders.
