The Intentional Disciplemaking Church by Ron Bennett
|
There is a lot of talk about discipleship these days. But how are we doing at fulfilling Christ's Great Commission to '"Go . . . make disciples"? Three critical questions will help us evaluate our progress:
- What impact is your church having on the culture in which it lives?
- How effective is your church in populating heaven?
- Are the lives of believers radically changed as a result of their encounter with Christ and your church?
This book helps church leaders understand the practical basis for becoming more focused on the biblical and historical mission of the church--to make disciples. This book is an easy read for any leader in the church who wants to see their ministry become focused on disciplemaking.

HighQuest: Men on a Mission
A quest is more than a trip or even a journey. A quest involves leaving without a plan to return. A quest involves drama, risk, and adventure resulting in life transformation. We never recover from a quest. Those who embark on a quest are never the same. When Jesus said, "Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men," He was inviting men on the ultimate quest. Following Jesus involves leaving what is familiar, common, and routine in order to discover what is meaningful, significant, and lasting. There is nothing boring about following Christ. Adventure, drama, beauty, sacrifice, and hardship are all part of the high quest of following Christ for a lifetime.
The HighQuest series is designed to equip men to:
- Know Christ deeply
- Reflect Christ authentically
- Reproduce Christ intentionally
Each unit of the HighQuest series is built around a life skill and a life issue.
Life Skills
- HighQuest I: An Appointment with God
- HighQuest II: Scripture memory with intentional mediation
- HighQuest III: Telling His story and dialoguing the gospel
- HighQuest I: Living from the truth of who God is and who I am in Christ
- HighQuest II: Living out a transformed life that is authentic and integrated
- HighQuest III: Living as a spiritual guide that is helping others find Christ
The HighQuest Forum
The HighQuest Forum is an enviroment where 3-4 men can meet for perspective, accountability and encouragement as they use the HighQuest material. The HQ Forum is built around four questions.
- Connection: Because we care, what do we need to know?
- Exploration: Because God's Word is true, what are you learning?
- Application: Because God's Word is relevant, what is He telling you to do?
- Intercession: Because God cares, how can we support you in prayer?
HighQuest for Women
HighQuest I: Women of Distinction
|
The parallel series for women is built around the same life skills and issues as the men but is packaged in an organic metaphor. The HighQuest series for women recognizes the uniqueness of how a woman approaches life and learning.
HighQuest I: Women of Distinction is currently being field tested and will be available early 2006.
HighQuest II: Women of Distinction is being developed and will be available summer of 2006.

Beginning the Walk is a practical three-book resource for new and growing believers that introduces the fundamental basics of a personal relationship with Christ.
Participants don't need an extensive church or religious background to get started. Full of valuable insights, each easy-to-understand lesson serves as the perfect foundation for building intentional discipleship and a solid commitment to Christ.
- The Way is the first study in the series. Its six lessons introduce the challenges likely to be encountered in a new and growing faith in Jesus Christ and to provide tools to overcome them. This study focuses primarily on Ephesians and Colossians, two letters in the Bible written by the apostle Paul for new believers.
- The Truth is the second study in the series. Its six lessons focus on various aspects of a believer's new identity in Christ. In this study, participants will discover their new identity in Christ through powerful word pictures derived from the Gospel of John.
- The Life is the third study focusing on the basic resources of a believer's new faith in Jesus Christ. The content includes lessons on faith, the Word, prayer, the Holy Spirit, grace, and community.
