NavMissions

 Colorado Springs, CO
When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
Matthew 9:36-38
I am the Director of International Mobilization for the U.S. Navigators. Simply put, I decide who does and does not go overseas with The Navigators. More specifically, I am responsible to recruit, assess, and prepare all Americans serving overseas with The Navigators. The weight of that responsibility would be overwhelming if it were not for the fact that I lead several teams of people who help in this process.

Recruiting - This team consists of 20+ mobilizers and recruiters spread out across the U.S. who visit Navigator Collegiate and Military groups and conferences throughout the year.

Assessing - A second team is our Personnel Review Committee, composed of more than a dozen veteran Navigator missionaries who help read through application materials, conduct phone and face-to-face interviews, and provide advice as to the fit, timing, and preparation of a specific candidate’s service overseas.

Pre-field Team - This team consists of a Short-term Missions Director (less than 1 year) and a Mid-term Missions Director (1-3 years), a Director (I personally oversee all long-term candidates), and two administrators. So far this year, we have appointed about as many overseas workers as the last two years combined. This summer we have more than 200 people on 30+ short-term trips to more than 20 countries.

Finally, I am responsible to develop and maintain healthy relationships with our U.S. Navigator Ministry leaders (Collegiate, Military, Community, etc.) and international leaders so that we can most effectively match the fruit of our U.S. ministries to the needs of our international works.
