The Zwemkes
Due to ministry demands, we've moved into the basement of Ray & Judy Zwemke (Rod's parents), who live in Jackson County on a temporary basis. The living conditions are great - a walk-out basement, a full kitchen and bathroom, plenty of space and a big screen entertainment room. Rough'n it never seemed so good.

We are under serious adjustment. We have a home in LaGrange, Rod works in Newnan and we live in Jackson County. Our schedule is bizzare, at best with appointments, meetings and ministry events in the evenings and weekends. The kids have adjusted better than the parents and are loving having extra time with both sets of grandparents.

Recently, we celebrated Shea's first birthday. Time doesn't fly, it evaporates! She dug into her cake with reluctance, but loved having sticky fingers. We are trying to savor every phase, every achievement and stage in development with Shea, as prayerfully she is our last child. She still loves to snuggle more than most 1 year olds and we are taking full advantage. She is starting to imitate the singing that is commonly hear in our house. She dances to music and generally loves fitting in with the gang of two older siblings.

Dane is into trains. He plays with both sets of train sets he has and sometimes does so with both going at once. He plays with Addison well and loves trying to do all that she is doing. He still has his agressive nature and is certainly an independent thinker, but he has made great strides in responding to correction and instruction.

Addison is full of energy. She sings, plays, dances and skips all day long. She loves interaction with kids with a passion, instantly calling strange kids her 'friends'. Oh, that we could be as accepting! She is beginning to work on reading skills and memorizing scriptures. She does well, as long as we can keep her from wiggling!

Gabian is undergoing the toughest adjustment. She has to go 45 minutes to the nearest thrift store and I think that is almost going to kill her. She pours so much energy and fun into raising our kids it just amazes me.
