When
he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were
harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to
his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask
the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his
harvest field." Matthew 9:36-38
Serving as sheep dogs under Jesus, the Shepherd,
pretty much describes our varied ministry through the years. In our 35
years with The Navigators our role, in various capacities, has been to
move people closer to the Shepherd and Guardian of our Souls. Through
diverse ministries we've gotten to know and love some outstanding
people, in Mexico and the US. Living and working in Mexico for 20 years
was our best life education.
Since moving to the San Antonio in
1993, we've worked with more fantastic people, ministering among
Hispanics in the US. Staff and laborers in the Hispanic ministry have
been our focus in developing, equipping, and empowering laborers in the
Hispanic Harvest.

Now we get to work with Spectrum, the
coalition of Navigator ethnic-focused ministries, in several new
capacities.
We are excited about co-laboring with the Collegiate
Mission of The Navigators to open Hispanic-focused ministries in San
Antonio. Our role of shepherding continues in drawing students to
Christ and in helping students transitioning to the work world.
