To Know Christ and Make Him Known

An Incredible Journey

.
This has been an incredible year. We started with a new grandson, participated in reunions, said farewell to Lorne Sanny, and hosted guests. On September 29 I had an unexpected stroke which has left me nearly blind in my right eye. The Apostle Paul apparently had a problem with his sight, but eventually recognized it as a gift.
"I was given that handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations...at first I didn't think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it...and then he told me,

'My grace is enough; it's all you need.
My strength comes into its own in your weakness.'"
.
2 Cor. 12:8-9 The Message

I am still learning to regard my handicap as a gift and to experience God's full strength. I have discovered that I can still do most things I could before. My health is good. But God may have allowed this to help me change my priorities.

Next year I have opportunities to minister in East Asia, Cuba, and Southeast Asia. Margaret will continue to teach New Testament Greek, but will wind down her work as a microbiologist at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, to give more time to ministry.

We are so thankful to you for your friendship, love, and financial support that enable us to stay in the battle. We can receive gifts on-line.

Warm Christmas greetings and best wishes for the New Year.

Rejoicing,

Paul Hensley
