Amanda and I, both from Kansas, met at Emporia State University and were married in June 2006. We have been living in Denver since summer 2007 so I could get my master’s at Denver Seminary. Our son, Wyatt, was born in March 2008.
During seminary, our hearts have continually been drawn toward college ministry.We are thrilled to join The Navigators to reach college students!
We both were greatly transformed by the love of God, peers, and the campus ministry we attended in college. We know how important those years were for us as we grew as individuals away from our parents and family. We developed a love and passion for God and came to realize the impact a college minister could have in the life of a college student.
There are many things that excite us about college ministry. First, we want every student to find life and salvation in Jesus Christ. We want everyone to become passionate about Jesus and his Kingdom for a lifetime. Second, we want to love students deeply. The students need love and care as they begin life on their own. Third, college students are being heavily influenced by the ideas they hear in the classroom. We want to help students realize that Christianity makes a lot of sense compared to the other options out there. We want students to be firm in their beliefs about God both intellectually and emotionally so they can effectively engage and transform the world for God no matter where they go after college.
