Rosa and Ben were both blessed to grow up in homes where faith in Christ was emphasized and lived. Since we each came to faith as children, God has grown within us hearts for youth and college ministry, having both been discipled throughout our youth and later becoming involved in the same ministries as leaders. This growth has resulted in Him calling us to the Navigator ministry of Eagle Lake Camps outside of Colorado Springs, where I oversee our programs and serve as director of the Residential ("Rez") camp.
We are excited to be involved in the ministry work at Eagle Lake, whose goal is to "develop Christ-centered commitment, through counselor relationships, in the midst of exciting outdoor experiences." The camping experience is a wonderful opportunity for campers and staff alike to come to a setting where God’s creation proclaims His majesty, and where The Navigators’ values of prayer, studying God’s Word, evangelism, and discipleship are emphasized; as the Rez director/director’s wife, we have had the privilege since 2009 to impact the lives of thousands of campers and hundreds of college-aged counselors, both through the camp program, and through individual discipleship and mentoring. We are blessed to be able to do this alongside our ministry partners, who minister to us, and subsequently, Eagle Lake, through their prayers and financial support; we are grateful for God’s provision of them!
The Navigators exist "to advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the Nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost." Working with youth and college students allows us a prime opportunity to advance His kingdom by equipping the next generation of laborers for His service; we look forward to how God will work during this upcoming year as we labor for Him through Eagle Lake Camps!
