The Nons were involved in international student ministry for several years before they felt God’s calling to join The Navigators’ International Student Ministry full time in 2011. Joining The Navigators is just the culmination of what He began stirring in their hearts years ago—a desire to see the nations come to Christ. When they both expected God to lead them overseas, God showed them a ripe harvest right here on American college and university campuses.
More than 690,000 international students from all over the world come to the States each year for education. Many of these students come from countries that are closed to traditional missionaries.
Thus, the Nons find tremendous opportunity in opening up their home and their lives to share Christ with students in a way that would be difficult, if not impossible, in the students’ own country. There is no language barrier, and the students are eager to learn and experience America.
The Nons long to see all the international students come to Christ and to grow deeper in relationship with Him. Their prayer is to see international students take the Gospel back home to their family and friends and begin discipling them in the knowledge and grace of Jesus Christ.
