You did not choose Me but I chose you and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. John 15:16
Sharon and I met and were discipled by The Navigators at Wiesbaden AB, Germany, in 1975. Because discipleship it is on the heart of God, it is at the core of The Navigators' mission as well. Sharon and I reach out to the young enlisted men and women of the military with the message of Christ, and then train them to follow Christ in a life of obedience.
What excites Sharon and me everyday is to know that we are doing what God has trained and called us to accomplish—to disciple men and women to be obedient followers of Christ. To see a young man or woman not only give their life to God, but then to desire to grow and develop into a mature follower of Christ, gives such joy.
Knowing that it all happens because we are willing to give of ourselves and our time to nurture, encourage, train, and correct, as God leads, is the most rewarding thing we have ever done. Nothing in this world satisfies the soul like watching men and women you have worked with change and live a Christ-centered life that influences and impacts those around them.
