Life Lessons from a Life Purpose Coach

June 2008 Luncheon Recap
Speaker:  Diane Cunningham

If you could meet with your own personal  life purpose coach and talk about anything you wanted, what would you ask her?  Would you want to know how to attain those unfulfilled dreams, or how to identify your spiritual gifts?  Would you ask for counsel in taking that next big step in your career?   Maybe you’d just like help in figuring out what you’re supposed to do with your life!

Diane Cunningham, a certified Life Purpose Coach from Wichita Falls, TX joined us at last month’s luncheon and gave us a glimpse into the process of finding that purpose for which God has created us.   She asked us the question, “As a woman in the workplace, who are you becoming?  Who are you learning from?”  That question was designed to get us thinking about how we’re utilizing the gifts, the experiences and the people God has given us to grow closer to the woman He has created us to be.

Four lessons we need to learn in order to see our life experiences as steps toward a goal:

Lesson 1: People are the plan; they are not a distraction

Lesson 2: Purpose is a process; not a one-time event

Lesson 3: Passions are on the path; not hiding in a pothole

Lesson 4: Possibilities are God’s playground; not something we need to fear

Every “divine appointment” in our lives is an opportunity to be a change agent in the world.  We need to be intentional so that we can say, as Jesus did in John 17:4, “I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.”
