Faith@Work Ministry Fair
Faith@Work is a Navigators sponsored monthly luncheon for business women in Albuquerque, NM. Its mission is helping business and professional women live out their faith more intentionally in their workplaces. We do this through several different means:
• Presenting challenging messages each month from local practitioners who are learning how to live on purpose for God.
• Promoting, developing and implementing Bible Studies in the workplace for women across the city.
• Recruiting, training and utilizing volunteers in a variety of ways to reach out and connect with other business women each month at the luncheons.

Faith@Work Ministry Fair Sept 19, 2011
A beautiful late-summer evening on the patio of the Courtyard Hotel was the perfect setting for our “ministry fair” at Faith@Work this past month. A first in almost ten years of luncheons, hosting this dinner time event was an attempt to try something different and reach people that may not normally be available for a lunch hour event. We offered our guests a variety of humor and ministry highlights, testimonies and information about new opportunities for the coming months.
Here are some of our program highlights:
Sherry Pickle, our emcee extraordinaire, delighted the audience with her usual humor, spontaneity, and unique way of spotlighting our featured guests. Her glowing introductions will not soon be forgotten.
Beverly Gabaldon, Glena Gebara and Susan Jameson (dubbed Charlie’s Angels by Sherry) were welcomed to the podium as some of our workplace Bible Study leaders. They shared their testimonies of the joy and privilege of leading small groups in their offices. They also hosted an information table where women could see the books they’ve used, ask questions and sign up for more information about starting their own groups at work. Click here if you’d like a followup call about starting a workplace Bible Study in your office.
Amy Allen (our “Humbled Bumble” speaker from August) shared her desire to start a Bible Study for women who don’t have the opportunity to join one in their office. Click here to talk with her more about this.
I (Karen Warin) promoted a new interactive workshop on how to turn your time with God into a feast! Through the use of images, music, quotations, prayers and poetry I show women how to turn their Quiet Times into creative, engaging and intimate times with God. We had such a great response to the sign-up for our first workshop on October 1st, that we’ve scheduled a second one for Saturday, October 15th. Click here for more information on how to attend this workshop.
None of this would be possible without the tremendous support of a large number of volunteers who help me make Faith@Work and our “behind the scenes” ministry a reality. Table hostesses, registration helpers, prayer team, Bible study leaders and donors all do their part to serve you! If you’d like to be a part of this team of faithful women, please click here and I’ll tell you how to get involved!
