Through involvement with The Navigators at Eastern Kentucky University during my college years, I experienced firsthand how God can change a life through one person investing their life spiritually in the life of another. God gave me a heart to help others experience this as well. After serving in Asia for seven years, I returned to the States in 2006 and rejoined The Navigators.
I’m excited to be a Navigator because I believe that the Navigator calling to spiritually invest deeply in the lives of a few so generations are following Jesus is exactly what is needed to help international students in the US learn to follow Jesus and influence their own nations to follow Him as well.
God is bringing the best scholars from around the world to our universities to study and do research. They return to become leaders of influence among their countrymen. I am working with international scholars and researchers at the University of Kentucky. I help them experience the love of Christ through hospitality and friendship. I help meet their physical, social, and linguistic needs while they are at UK. Most importantly, I help them understand what it means to love and follow Jesus in their own cultural way. Prayerfully, generations of disciples within their cultures will learn to love and follow Jesus through their influence. Please pray that God will use me at UK to help prepare scholars to return to their home countries with a passion for Christ and His kingdom that will cause them to make an eternal difference.
