Sometimes saying thank you doesn’t express just how deeply Kathy and I appreciate you. You mean so much to us as we seek to serve the Lord with the Ministry of The Navigators!
In a recent e-news brief, we asked for prayer for Kathy as she presented her seminar on “Discipling Your Children” at a local church. She felt that God blessed the time and that her content communicated. Thank you for praying,
Kathy and I begin a very active month this week. Our son and his family arrive July 9th from Fairbanks, AK and stay until July 20th. Also, we will be traveling. There are two ministry trips and the third one has both ministry and vacation in it.
Please pray for Kathy and me as we travel and that the Lord would provide for the expenses.
July 17 – 20 we’ll be attending our annual CDM Regional Leader’s Meeting in Colorado Springs. I serve
on the Ministry Resource Team and we have been reworking all of our staff profiles, job descriptions and
training requirements. A large part of this meeting will be unveiling the notebook to our leaders for their
response, as well as beginning the process of implementing it with all of our field staff. Pray that our work
will help clarify and streamline our whole staffing process.
July 23- 26 we’ll will be attending Ministry Coaching International’s training conference in Bend, Oregon. I have been receiving coaching from them this past year and have been certified to coach Navigator Staff. Now I’m seeking the training to become a professional coach with MCI, which will allow me to coach pastors. Our Navigator CDM~IDC process, has a component on Leadership Development, and this coaching training from MCI will deepen my skills in helping pastors with their leadership responsibilities.
July 29-Aug 12 we’ll be visiting family in Traverse City, Michigan. I’ll be sharing a workshop on prayer on Aug 6th and preaching on Aug 10 in the church where Kathy and I grew up. We’ll also be visiting friends and ministry supporters.
As I have mentioned in my last two e-news briefs, our financial support has been in decline for the past several months. I’ve been working on raising support and have been enjoying some good success. Thank you very much for your prayers for me on this. I’ll be continuing to focus on increasing our support base and would appreciate it if you would continue to pray that I’d be able to raise enough support to be fully funded. I’m enjoying meeting new people as I present our ministry to them. I continue finding new ministry opportunities, as I see our support team grow. I’m encouraged!
