Year End Giving Opportunity

Dear Partner in Ministry,

Recently I reviewed my quiet time journal and one encouraging thoughts for me has been from Zephaniah 3:15, 16.

15 The LORD has taken away His judgments against you, He has cleared away your enemies. The King of Israel, the LORD, is in your midst; You will fear disaster no more. 16 In that day it will be said to Jerusalem: "Do not be afraid, O Zion; Do not let your hands fall limp.

Have you ever just felt like giving up and essentially “letting your hands fall limp?” On more than one occasion I have given up at, least for a season. The Spirit of Jesus Christ abiding in me assures me there is no reason to give up.

I’m encouraged as I look toward 2008, knowing that Jesus is with me, as I seek to serve by being involved in the expansion of His Kingdom. I believe that the best contribution that I can make is to a ministry that focuses on spiritual multiplication, through making mature disciples of Jesus Christ.

I want to invite you to consider helping us financially as we approach the year-end and prepare for a new year of ministry. In 2008, I hope to focus on several exciting ministry endeavors. Your gifts and prayer support will help me to:
  1. Train one new staff in the San Francisco Bay area and possibly another who will minister to Filipino churches in San Diego.

  2. Continue to develop a strategy for the Pacific Southwest CDM staff for helping churches.

  3. Work with the CDM Regional Leaders and Pacific Southwest staff studying and discussing The Navigators’ core values, seeking to better align ourselves with them.

  4. Receive training in “coaching” that I might be more effective in my personal life and ministry…eventually helping me to coach my staff and church leaders.

  5. Continue to develop a prayer movement in the North County area of San Diego. We have already moved from one city event per year to a monthly gathering where we pray for all aspects of our city!
Thank you for your prayers and generous gifts to our ministry. Kathy and I are so grateful for you and your involvement in His work here in San Diego County. We will start 2008 with confidence, knowing God is in our midst. There is no reason to “let our arms fall limp.”
