We joined The Navigators in 1995 when we decided to take part in a one-year mission trip with the CoMission project (an outreach to Russia). As it turned out, we stayed in St. Petersburg, Russia, for nearly five years! During that time, we observed how The Navigators operated and came to appreciate their vision for networking with many but building deeply into the lives of a few.
Since returning to the States, we’ve been involved in several community ministries, including a singles’ group at our church and have facilitated several Bible studies. The next big project for us is to help start a Navigator ministry at Rice, and we are thrilled to walk through the doors that have opened there. We both grew deeply in faith during our college years and long to help students find the purpose and meaning in life that only He can give. Our goal is to see students become reproducing disciples who are mature in faith and also proactively leading others to a faith that reproduces itself.
