My introduction to The Navigators was during college when a girl from my hometown, who was serving with The Navigators, led a Bible study and met with me individually for two summers. She encouraged me to attend a Summer Training Program at The Navigators’ headquarters in Colorado. God used this time to grow my personal walk with the Lord and to give me a deeper heart for discipleship.
The reason I am excited to serve on staff with The Navigators can be summed up in 1 Thessalonians 2:8: "We loved you so much we were delighted to share with you not only the Gospel of God, but our own lives as well." I love the idea of being able to share the good news of Christ, while living alongside, and sharing my life with students every day. The Navigators’ model of discipleship encourages me to do just this!
College is a strategic time in young people's lives as they make decisions that will impact their future. Through Bible study, one-on-one meetings, and group activities, I am able to see God change students’ lives! My heart’s desire is to see God use my collegiate ministry to raise up godly leaders, and to see them, in turn, reach out to those around them. I'm very excited to be serving as a Navigator Rep at Texas Tech.
