College Ministry

University of Northern Colorado - Greeley

But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were wearied and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore, pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest."
Matthew 9:36-38
I grew up in a Christian home and began a personal relationship with God when I was five. Through middle school, high school, and the first two years of college, I was focused on one thing: me. God began to get a hold of me in my second year of college. When I graduated from Pikes Peak Community College with my associate’s degree, I headed to the University of Northern Colorado. That move changed my life. The new city, new job, new school, and the newly shattered relationship with my girlfriend of three years put me into a state of brokenness and loneliness that I had never experienced. Unknown to me, though, God was moving in my life in bigger ways than I could have imagined. I grew in maturity and my understanding of and relationship with Him. He also surrounded me with other believers and, through The Navigators, gave me a community I could thrive in.

God allowed me to hit rock bottom so I would allow Him to pick me up, and the things I have learned because of it are things I want to pass on to others. I love sharing God’s Word and watching Him transform lives through it. My desire is to help others obtain and grow in an authentic relationship with Christ. I have experienced first-hand the kind of transformation God can bring about during the crucial years in college, and I want to be a part of God doing this in the lives of others.
