Our Strategy

How do we reach the world? Jesus presented his men with just that challenge in Acts 1, "You shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth," and they began immediately to carry it out. They reached the world, starting from where they were, and they did it without radio, television, Internet, materials, or anything else we consider vital to the task.

How? By implementing the simple strategy articulated by the Apostle Paul to young Timothy: "The things you have heard me say . . .  entrust to reliable men who shall teach others also (2 Timothy 2: 2)."

The Navigators, a world-wide, 70-year-old organization with a proven track record of making disciples, taught us this principle of spiritual reproduction by spending personal time with us nearly 40 years ago, and we have seen it work with individuals and in churches.

We've moved from Bob's position as Minister of Discipleship at a large church to being full-time missionaries with The Navigators' Church Discipleship Ministry (CDM). With CDM, we are serving as church discipleship consultants, leading a team in the Rocky Mountain region to help pastors and church leaders equip their people, empower them, and release them for the significant mission of advancing the Gospel.

Our focus is on sharing this vision, along with practical ways to carry it out, to those who already have influence over large numbers of people—pastors! We want to help them develop intentional disciplemaking communities—people who are growing in their relationship with Jesus, growing in their relationships with each other, and sharing their lives with those with whom they come in contact where they live, work, and play.
