In the 70's, I (Steve) had been involved in the local leadership of a number of parachurch ministries, but none had ministered to me as a husband and father. Sue and I discovered that the Navs were eager to minister to the whole of us, even our marriage and our family. Over a period of ten years, we relocated often to receive more of that depth of training, even as we wanted to impact others.
Now, we shepherd collegiate staff at campuses throughout the Northeast. We are also leaders of a team that trains all new collegiate staff in Biblically funding their ministries, while addressing the heart issues of fear and discouragement in this spiritual battle.
We get to minister to the hearts of Nav laborers. Jesus said that the laborers are few (Matthew 9:37). We are thrilled to be able to care for their souls as shepherds. The Navigators give me the extremely rare chance to do what I am.
