Wes and Johnena met through their involvement with The Navigators while attending Ohio State University. They came on full-time staff with The Navigators in 1990, after seven years on active duty as a Navy pilot and several years working for Ford Aerospace. They served with the Navigators in Texas, Germany, and Austria before moving to the Tacoma area in 1997.

Wes and Johnena are passionate about mentoring people in studying the Scriptures, experiencing personal spiritual transformation, and living out the life of Jesus Christ within their network of friends and co-workers, believing that Jesus wants to use everyone to bring others into the Kingdom of God.

In addition to personal ministry among Army and Air Force personnel, Wesley serves as Associate Director for the US Military Mission in the area of Critical Initiatives. These initiatives currently include ROTC, minorities, women, foreign missions, and summer training programs.

Johnena also serves on the Military Leadership Team as the Director of Support Services. This means she is the administrative liaison between The Navigators headquarters and our 446 Navigator Military Mission staff.
