EDGE Corps - Denton, TXWe loved you so much that we shared with you not only the gospel, but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. 1 Thessalonians 2:8
After losing an election for SGA President, I realized that the God of the universe had been pursuing my heart for well over three months.
I had been meeting personally with an EDGE Corps missionary. While he was teaching me the Gospel, I trusted him so much that I shared my fears, insecurities, and hopes of the upcoming election with him. Our trust relationship led me to Christ in the midst of the election, and during the summer, I went to a Navigators’ training program where I aimed to discover what was really important to me.
Christ being the central theme of my life, my priorities were discipleship, building friendships, and excelling in school. My fraternity was always on my mind…. How could I serve them? How could I be a witness? What are most people trying to accomplish when they join Beta? The next fall, I joined the Navigators to help me help my Beta brothers in their endeavors to find and trust Christ.
After graduation, I knew that I wanted to continue to learn how to communicate the Gospel in love to people in our American culture. The best way I could learn was through joining the Navigators.
