Our Ministry
Emily, Burke, Nora and Greg
Our mission is to help college students
develop the vision, passion, and skills to follow Christ and make
disciples for the rest of their lives. Click here to donate online to their ministry.
Emily and I are establishing a campus ministry at Kent State University. Perhaps you are familiar with Kent State
because of the tragedy that took place on May 4, 1970 when four
students were shot and lost their lives during Vietnam protests on
campus. I've met people who heard the shots that terrible day.
My
first time on campus was as a student in 1985. I graduated from Kent
State in 1989 with a B.A. in Business Management. It was during my
college years that I sensed God calling me into full time Christian
ministry.
After I graduated, I attended Columbia Biblical Seminary in Columbia, South Carolina. After receiving my Masters of Divinity in 1992, I headed back to my home church, The Chapel, for a one year internship. After my internship I worked as an Assistant Pastor at a new church plant called Valleyview Chapel which is located in Wadsworth, Ohio.
After four years serving as an Assistant Pastor, God called me to join The Navigators. I was trained at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and led the ministry there for five years.
God
works in mysterious ways. Now, He's brought me back to KSU to start a
Navigator student ministry. We began our ministry here in the fall of
2002, and God is doing great things. We would love to hear from
you. You may contact us by e-mail at:
