Testimony:When I got to college 5 years ago I was forced to redefine who I was, what I stood for and what I believed in. As a Christian in college, this tested my faith a lot. I was confronted with tough questions on the authenticity of the Bible, world religions, salvation, miracles and much more. I was completely lost when it came to what I believed because I could no longer walk in blind faith; my child like faith had been stripped from me. I felt naked and vulnerable. Yet, God placed strong Christian men in my life who mentored me, kept me focused on God, gently helped me understand who I was in Jesus, and that God could be my stability in a world where everything seems to fade.
I came to understand how important it is to know Jesus as my savior. I also began to understand why it is my responsibility to share the Gospel, to share the Love of Jesus with everyone I know. Especially in college where we all are forced to redefine who we are and what we stand on.
God has given me a desire to show men that they can findLife in Christ.
What Am I Doing?
Now I have the opportunity to help others in the same way I have been helped. I will help others to know how to live for Jesus in a real way and help them to develop skills that will enable them to invest in the lives of their friends and invest back into their communities. The Navigators have invited me to be a campus missionary at Bowie State University in Bowie, Maryland. Bowie State University is in the HBCU (Historically Black College and University) system. I have the privilege of reaching out to our brother and sisters, training them up as leaders and sending them out into the world with a purpose, with direction and with a heart to honor God in everything they do. Then together we can more effectively preach the gospel and raise up generations of strong Christian men and women.
