Metro Mission

Washington, D.C.

"Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock."
Matthew 7:24
Over the past two-and-a-half years of academic study at Reformed Theological Seminary, I increasingly sensed a call toward vocational ministry. During this time, I had been ministering on a part-time basis to Capitol Hill staffers and Georgetown Law school students primarily through an outreach called Lunchtime Talks. However, as I completed my degree, there was not an obvious ministry position available for me to pursue. It was a time of testing. Yet in His good and perfect timing, God led me to an amazing point of confirmation in which the call and the opportunity intersected. I am pleased to announce that I have been invited to join a team of extremely gifted people serving with The Navigators. The Navigators started more than 75 years ago and is active in 107 countries around the world. Their calling: To advance the Gospel of Jesus and His Kingdom into the nations through spiritual generations of laborers living and discipling among the lost. I can say with certainty that this prospect moves me deeply. And I am excited to be joining a team of men and women committed to this calling. With mounting excitement at the prospect of sharing the Good News in Washington, D.C., on a regular basis, and exceeding peace that I am exactly where God would have me, I have taken the initial steps forward. To be honest, I have had a bit of anxiety at the prospect of raising my own support. Yet, I am encouraged by Christ’s promise to always be with me, “even to the very end of the age.” And with each passing day, He has confirmed this to be true. All that remains is for me to walk forward in obedience…which is no small thing. I appreciate you reading this page, and I’ll conclude with a request: Please pray for me. I covet your prayers as I embark on this new journey of faith and trust in the service of our King. I look forward to telling you more about this in the future.
