The Matas

Andres, Diana, Emilio, Alex
God has used my family to make me a better servant of His. I am a family man who has been married for sixteen years to Diana, a beautiful woman whom God gave me from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Diana (also known as DeeDee) came to know the Lord through a Navigator ministry at the University of New Mexico where she received her degree in Elementary Education. She has taught in three different states and is currently teaching in our local school district. She loves New Mexico and gave it up only because God brought us together. Diana is an outstanding mother and teacher and, needless to say, a great wife, too!

We live in the heart of the region that we want to impact for Christ. We have two boys: Emilio, who loves football and baseball and enjoys challenges, and Andrés, who enjoys reading and working on the computer. Both boys attend a Christian school and are doing well, after being homeschooled by their mother for five years. Our family is involved in AWANA, where Andrés and Emilio memorize the Word of God and enjoy the game time. Both my boys play the piano, and I'm learning how to play, too. Believe me, my boys outshine their old man!
