Post Cards from the National Women's Conference

Thank you to all who prayed for our National Staff Conference for Women in April. God gave us a conference that truly met the needs of our U.S. staff women as well as women from around the world. They were encouraged in their walks with God and in the ministries to which they are called. Because we live in a time when life is hard and ministry is demanding, we chose the theme, "Come Away . . . To Refresh Your Soul, Renew Your Love, and Revive Your Passion." Here are comments from some of the women who attended:

"Thank you for providing a scholarship for me to attend the conference. I felt called, challenged, inspired, and affirmed as a young woman learning to love Jesus. It was particularly moving to see those women who had served the Lord with the Navs for more than 35 years, and to realize that I am part of the spiritual generation of one of them!"
"The worship at this conference was significant in setting an atmosphere of focus on Jesus! I was deeply encouraged through those times. The speakers were well-chosen and good examples of God using ordinary women in powerful ways."

"It has been a turning point in my relationship with God. It did refresh my soul, renew my love, and revive my passion."

"Everyone loved being there and being together. It was the best all-around conference I and many have been to because of the 'guilt free' freedom that you invited us all to partake of and to get refreshed as He led us."

"I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of freedom for each of us to pay attention to the Lord's prompting in our own lives throughout the weekend. Giving us permission to do this in the first session put the focus on God and our connection with Him, and that felt life-giving. The Lord was, indeed, in our midst. Thank you for all you do to meet the needs of the Nav women."

"Just a word of thanks for all the time, energy, and work put into a wonderful conference. The place, workshops, speakers, worship, fellowship, all worked together for a refreshing, encouraging, God-honoring time for many."

"Thank you for the conference. The primary challenge to me was to be as in love with Jesus as the other Nav women I met. The speakers, the workshop leaders-everyone I listened to challenged me to spend more time in communion with our Savior."

"Some of the Scripture shared really touched my heart and put a personal issue into perspective. I was so encouraged by the number and quality of younger women. The mantle is being effectively passed on."

"God has really challenged me to discover who He created me to be, to find my unique contribution to the Kingdom. It is so freeing to hear senior staff encourage me to minister from my strengths, not from my expectations!"

"It was such a blessing to speak with women who are faithfully serving God in various areas of ministry, and to see the joy in their hearts. Seeing where God has led the Navs thus far, and hearing about visions for the future, has grown my desire to serve together with the Navs. I pray that I may have that opportunity again soon."

"Genuine fellowship (Belonging); great learning through constructive workshops (Direction); godly wisdom from the plenary sessions (Purpose); If there's one thing I can do it is to glorify God through the personal trials and circumstances He has brought into my life."
