Vision, Mission, Goals
Second Half Ministries is focused on what we feel is a blind spot or a void in our culture and our country. George Barna,
the well-known pollster, says, There are 10,800 people turning 50
everyday, and most will not finish well. Second Half Ministries came
into being to help this portion of society come to grips with the
realities of this truth. We seek to coach this group of people in methods leading to continued success in the second half of their lives through a deliberate approach to reviewing their past and refocusing their future.
In sporting events, games are won or lost in the second half. Halftime adjustments are essential. Similarly, a mid-life review is critical to finishing well in the second half of life.
Finishing well requires us to be aware of our purpose, maximize our unique contribution, and live consistent with our God-given design and desires. By discovering your design, defining your contribution, and creating a personal development plan, you can maximize your second half of life.
Second Half Ministries offers men and women an opportunity to thoughtfully experience a meaningful mid-life review. During the weekend forums, we guide participants through an enriching personal evaluation that becomes the foundation for a development plan for the second half of their lives.
We have concluded that first-half strategies practiced in the second half of life are a sure formula for failure. We find that with most people there are significant adjustments that need to be made.
We take them through a series of three assessments the first weekend and they walk away with a Personal Design Profile. By this time in life they have had to do so much just to make life work that they have lost sight of their DNA, the core being of who God has designed them to be.
The assessments that we take them through clearly bring this into focus and help them to work out the implications of their God-given design for their second half. There are always some major adjustments that need to be made.
In Next Steps Forum, we take them through another series of assessments, and they walk away with their Personal Contribution Profile and with a strong sense of rightness that this is what God wants them to do. During this weekend they will also crystallize and leave with a Personal Development Plan to help them develop in areas that will help them maximize the contribution that God is pointing and directing them into for a ministry in the second half.
By taking a deliberate approach to reviewing your past and refocusing your future, the road ahead could very well be the best part of the journey. Review the pages of our web site then contact us today to find out more or to register for the Second Half Forums.
